Many thanks to Emma for modelling, and a big thank you to Judi for loaning me her studio lights. I spent a good part of the day painting the backdrop, only to discover that you can't see the rain (water from the hose) against the light area of backdrop. I've realised that perhaps a couple more lights may have helped. I continue to learn. After I downloaded the images I realised that I forgot the head piece, so Storm's costume isn't quite complete. But it was a fun session, and I enjoyed playing with lights so much that I think I'll have to get a set of my own.

I don't get it... which part of your image did not exist in the original capture? Did you use two different photos? Hmm... in any case - an awesome image - great model - wonderful lighting.

My machine went out of calibration this morning and so was interested to see what you shot looked like. I can now see the gloves perfectly, in fact I like the non calibrated way better, I think I will leave my computer this way lol

Good lighting, I like that it doesn't depend on the title too much, well done.

not bad at all, would have liked a bit more pop on teh gloves to really make them show up as they are melting into the background right now. (calibrated screen my end) Fab portrait though anyone would be proud to have that in their port 7

The lighting on the model is terrific. I'm not too convinced by the lightning effect. There also appears to be a black outline around the fingers which looks a little strange. Overall though, I love it - 8

There is space for improvement in this picture, but all matter of personal taste, this doesn't mean I don't like it, 8 from me.
Ideas: Black dress to match the gloves,
Facing the camera and fan to make the hair fly, a more serious expression.
Nicely done,
