 Taken for the Blue III challenge, I opted for another shot. As a result, I did a bit more editing to this than to anything entered into a Basics challenge, including desaturation and spot healing. I was trying to capture the double meaning of "blue" (tonal and emotional), and I think this just might be the saddest mannequin I've ever seen.

I love mannequins, they mimic the best attributes of (most) models, without the overhead. This model mannequin looks more introspective than sad to me, however, your placement of shadows does a great job of supplying the emotion. I like the positioning of the mannequin in the frame - as if she is getting up to leave. Maybe she really is a model after all?
I think you choose the right photo for the specific challenge, this would have garnered some interesting comments but would have scored rather low. Keep up the good work, DPC needs more artists.
