 I was taken by surprise when a pair of partidges flew into an apple tree in the back yard..I didn't even realize what they where initially thinking chickens?
Soon to be enlightened and plsed to have my camera nearby..

Nice colours and composition, lovely bokeh too. focus on the eye is good but personally I'd like the rest of the feathers to be nice and clear, a slightly larger dof would probably take care of that

The background seems a tad bit flat... Nice focus on the eye.. .but I think with some processing the eye could really POP to make this a much better image. Good as it is, though... (not voting yet)
