 There was just a brief opening in the clouds and I was taken by surprise by it as I had expected solid cloud cover all evening while these were above the horizon.I had to grab my bag and my keys and drive to a neighbors place that had a better view of the open sky. I tried to get some images that were properly exposed but man, that moon is BRIGHT!! So I needed to under expose this a bit so that it looked close to what I saw in the sky. As was mentioned in a thread about this subject, you can just make out one of the moons of Jupiter.

Nice one scooter. I too won't be around for the next one, that's why these particular events are a little bit more special than others like eclipses or meteorite showers.
