 As I saw this image it looked awesome but it was really hard to make the camera see things the way I did. I doubt I'll ever master this thing! hehe So the image is a long exposure and it blew out the moon and planets like crazy . I burned the brightest objects just to make the rest of the image more noticeable. A neighbor (about a mile away)has set a bon-fire just as he does every year at the end of the first day of hunting season. The pond in the lower part of the image is frozen and covered with a bit of melted snow. I think there may be a plane in the frame too. Oh well.

This picture has GREAT potential. Better then any of my Astro photos. I live to close to a city, one of these days im going to drive up the canyon to take some pictures but I need to wait for a cloudless sky...

Very well done! Elements balance very nicely and your comments add a touch of reality. I'm wondering what your exposure time was on this.

Great story and another good capture. I like seeing the human side in this shot with the bonfire. Very cool.
