Saw this spool of thread with a needle in it, so I placed it on the table and got on the floor so it would be right at eye height. I had to do a long exposure, so sitting on the table kept me from having to use a tripod. I then played with a solarizing filter in Silver Efex Pro and really liked the results but then I added a grainy color texture layer and due to the bright background, it is barely visible, which I like. :~)

Really cool processing. In the thumb I thought it was a knife of some sort. LOL! It almost looks like the whole thing is blowing away.

That is a very cool effect you have achieved here. I like the way only the thread in the needle, the needle itself, and the left side of the spool are really visible. Nice.

So simple and intriguing! Love the color, effect, layer and that faint little border line. How can you make a simple spool of thread look so awesome??

Funky. I like the faint border picking up the texture more strongly. Rather subtle.

This is wild... like the needle and thread that we know is becoming - or disintegrating. Great color - fascinating. Also, I just woke up. :o)
