Took this out of the car window at a red light yesterday. I liked the orange guys and the palm and cactus.

Used color stylizer (nik efex), which creates the high contrast. Overlayed with two textures. Ran it through some more nik efex and xero porcelain, as well as a bit of fractalius. In other words - processed to death. :o)

Yes, but it comes out the other end looking like a drawing! Cool.

This looks like something I'd see in a storybook - it has a hint of reality and yet seems like it was drawn on painted. Awesome processing.

I like your "to death" processing. It turns this into an intriguing illustration that demands more attention than a straight photo would.I can remember a little golden book called "What Do People Do All Day?" This could be part of a modern version.

That is truly awesome processing! I love the very surreal look to it! Also, like was mentioned I really like how the sky has watercolor feel to it.

I wonder how a macro of the cactus would work with this effect?

Awesome! Interesting to me how this heavily processed shot sucks me into the moment more than an unprocessed shot might.

Is it the overlays which create the painted effect in the sky? That's really cool. Processed to death, maybe, but I quite like how it came out!

It's like a modern day version of a classic painting.
