At the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ. My son had a half day of school, so we spent the other half watching fish today. I love the jelly's. I always take tons of pictures of them. Very rarely do they come out well. My next purchase will be a circular polarizer since I'm thinking it might help with the glass glare.

This is beautiful. The C P would help with reflections, but also cut your light a lot since it is usually quite dark in aquariums. That would make your exposure times long for moving subjects. The C P is great for outdoor shooting though.
If you can get the composition that you want, you may try a rubber lens shade and put it right against the glass. Dark clothes help with reducing reflections when shooting through glass too.
The colors are marvelous in this. When I saw the thumb, it looked a lot like a whacky camel portrait LOL.

Jellyfish are COOL!!! Aquariums are such fun places. I don't know what you are talking about with the glare... unless you mean your reflection and the light from other areas of the aquarium? Shoot upward, not directly at the glass. A polarizer might frustrate you because of the low light situation. It adds glass in front of the lens and may soften your focus... just a thought :)

I took a few pics of jellyfish earlier this year, and they didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped.
However, I don't think a circular PL filter will be much help unless you can live with the slower shutter speed it will bring.

What a tangled web. Pretty good definition even through the glass.

Quite a lot of the little monsters =:-O Did you try shifting the red/orange or coloring it blue to blend into the background more?

The colors Nature can take never cease to amaze me. Love the cool blue tones of the shot.

That's a cool shot. I love the blue tenticles (is that what they are called on jelly fish?) From the thumb I actually thought I was looking at something like a Hindu deity. Way off the mark.
