 This was almost impossible to set up. My sticks kept falling :-/ Glue probably would have been the ideal thing to use, but I didn't have time for it to dry properly. Soooooooooo, these are just stacked and balanced :)

I used a LOT of healing brush on this to get the candy just perfect.

To make the blues a little bluer, I used selective colour and went into the blues and added some magenta.

Weird looking settings? I wanted max DOF because I tried some at f1.4 and the DOF made the sticks look CRAZY! LOL!

Camera was on a tripod with a 2sec timer to avoid camera shake when hitting the shutter.

Wow! The whites and reds of those peppermint sticks really pop of the brilliant blue backdrop. Our eyes are automatically glued to the candy...or should I say 'stuck' given that they can be a very sticky treat. Very sweet image with brilliant color to captivate the eyes, tasty main subject (yummy:-) ) , and wonderful sharp crisp details. Love the white stripe that cuts through the red text which is a nod to the peppermint sticks.

Oh my gosh! They look suspended in air, almost surreal. I love how crisp the image is, and the contrasting colors are great. Maybe a green background instead of the blue though :)
