The biggest compliment I can give this photo is that it's DIFFERENT than the rest in this challenge. Good on you for not entering the cliched oversaturated sunset with long exposure waves.
I also notice that this was taken in Banff, one of the most beautiful locations in Canada, which in my opinion makes it even more impressive that you entered a shot like this.
I'm sorry that I didn't vote in this challenge, because I would have given this a 9. Excellent photo. |

| I'm surprised this placed where it did. Blame it on lack of oversaturated colors, I suppose. I can see by the stats that A lot of people really loved this one. Should have ribboned, IMO. |

| Well, really, to me anyway, it does not seem to scream sunset nor sunrise. It's a great photo though and will probably beat the pants off my photo. |

| Nice. This gives the feeling of dawn light without the use of a horizon, which is kind of refreshing in this challenge. I love the winter hues in this and think the composition is good. |
