The charm of this planter is its rust, its handles, its neck, and its ageless shape.

Hand held photo near ground level. Learned since how to invert tripod to accomplish f32 photo but the wind has been howling ever since I learned. So this is it for this challenge.

Post Processing: One step picture correct in Adobe Photo Album, crop, and resize.

You could have cropped even tighter - I'd say right below the handle. The green leaves form an amazing frame. You can then have a choice of whether to focus on the can, or on the leaves, and nobody will complain. In this picture, everybody knew what your subject was (can) and commented on its focus. In a more tightly cropped pic, it wouldn't matter as much anymore, since it wouldn't be so big. Good job.

It's a bit out of focus - it looks like the grass in front is the focal point

Great composition and colors. Focus is not real interesting though.

I really like your idea here and do enjoy this photo. MO is that it is just a bit soft. Perhaps focus is on the grass at the bottom in the foreground and not on the subject? Either way I still like this. Meets that challenge very well. Good luck with the challenge!!!

in my opinion the title needs work. also the focus is off. maybe a sharpen effect would have helped.

wants to be a little better focus on the main subject.

IMO - it appears that the camera focused on the vine in front of the main subject.

I would have scored this higher if your focus had been on the vessel. As I see it, your focus is sharpest on the forground grass. A little shallower DOF with focus on the milk can would have been much better IMHO.

I don't understand why you choose to have the grass in the foreground in focus but not the milkcan or the Ivy.

the milk can is out of focus, looks like your autofocus focussed on the grass instead of the milk can. unless...that is what you were going for...

a tad out of focus, and perhaps a bit over exposed in the leaves.

There is a soft quality in this shot which works very well.

Nice idea but more DoF to bring the can into sharper focus might improve.
