This was inspired by the thread jdannels just started for brightest spot and reflected light images here, check it out! And thanks, Joe, for the great tips.

My kittes love to sit on the little seats we put in the corner of the new fence we're builiding, so I've been watching them for the past couple of days hoping that eventually one would sit in such a way that the light slivers lit something interesting. I finally got lucky, Graystoke cooperated!

Not that much processing, really:
Color Efex Pro tonal conversion
Color Efex Pro b/w conversion
Copy eye, set to screen
Use clone tool to cover writing and nails on bench
A bit of dodging and burning
Crop

This is perfect for the challenge! Please post more when you find some! I like the deep shadows and the eye just peeking out of them.

Lovely shot with the bars of light. Also all the other straight lines which go in all directions. They really bring the eye to the cat. By the way, I really admire what you are doing for those cats, and the environment. Everyone's a winner ( except your hip pocket, probably.)
