I think Jedusi said it best, the difused glow/soft focus really make this photo along with the little girl that just pops off of the photo. Gorgeous!

Great shots of Rome, I went there a few years ago and would love to go back, I think I could just wander round for days with a camera just topping up now and then with espresso and pizza :) |

'Dancing with pigeons' Ah the famous low budget follow up to 'Dancing with Wolves' . .
I could never understand why Kevin Costner refused the title role on this one . .
You know what ? In all seriousness I think this is a delightful shot !
I love the soft focus, the movement and the gentle colours in it . . the dynamic juxtaposition between the freedom and exhiliration of childhood in the foreground and the apparent gravitas of the Nun's in the background . . the organic chaos of the froeground and the heavy formal structure providing the backdrop.
The feeling that despite the clearly large DoF, that somehow there is still not enough room to cram everything in !
The Width and depth and light and dark, and colour and movment and everythingness of it . .
A splendid shot and you might just have been surprised in the Masters Free Study with this . .
