I have always wanted to capture something like this and until this shot I have never been able to do so... I hope you like it and I hope that it will not get shoehorned... I picked this to be my entry because it shows after impact but before it depletes... I hope that you see it my way!

Greetings from the critique club...

I have always wanted to shoot a waterdrop shot, but haven't got around to it yet. I do know however that they are very difficult to get. You have done a great job with the focus; it is very sharp. Even some of the droplets that are hanging in mid air are completely sharp. The blue colour is also nice, it reminds me of an ocean.

Areas for improvement: First and foremost, your score does not reflect the quality of your photo. The reason for this is that most people were probably expecting two seperate events or objects for the subject "before & after". A good rule is to ask yourself, "if I showed this photograph to somebody who didn't know what the topic was, would they be able to guess what it is?". If not, then your photograph might not match the topic as well as it could.

I see improvement in your photography. Keep up the good work.

If you need any clarification on any of my comments, please feel free to pm me. It might take some time for me to get back to you.

A shoehorn of epic proportions! :) Right image, wrong challenge. Still worthy of kudos for the capture!

Although i've seen a lot of these type of images (maybe from the author of this picture), that are technically great, and with lovely colours, but please, no more ribbons!! lol. Having said that, I do have to give it a good score :-)

this is more "while" than "before and after". not a bad capture, though, but lighting could be enhanced

These splash shots look really good when you only see the water as apposed to the background. I'm not sure about the angle you took here.

Doesn't convey before and after all that well to me. Sorry. :(

Cool shot. I wish the background was lit a little more uniform. I know getting the mushroom look is difficult, so great shot!

Given the number of water droplet photos on offer, it is difficult to filter them all out and look at this picture on its own merits. Of course it is very good indeed but will it get the score the picture deserves in the context of the brief for this challenge?
