adjusted brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpening in RAW

resized in PSP, played with the white balance some. maybe played with saturation, but I don't *think* so.

would have cloned out those spots at the top, but I couldn't remember if they are sensor dust (I don't think so) or pencil shavings.

Nice idea and well executed. I think the shot would have been better without the back of the pencil though.

I like the shavings in the background, and that you choose a bright color like green.

There is another entry similar to this. I think I like the burst of colour in this one better. Nicely done.

Great set up and great blurred background. I like it a lot. The weird crack in the sharpened pencil is a bit distracting, as is the bottom of the cone? of the sharpened pencil (where the the green bumps up, right by the crack). I don't know if you left that in on purpose, but I may have rotated the pencil to get that out of the shot. Photo technique wise, great!!!!

Solid macro, and a colored pencil shot I haven't seen before.

Right idea, iffy set-up. I don't know enough about photographic terms to explain what I see, but the foreground position feels off-balance, and the background is too predominant.
