Wonderful tonal range in this composition. I like the askew diagonal composition of this self portrait for it adds visual interest. The image grain adds to the feel of an old photograph or as you were trying to achieve an old B&W 50's movie feel. Wonderfully done! |

Now, if you were wearing a fedora... ;) This does have the look of a furtive candid - the moment after Makeup but before "Action!", the actor getting into character. |

Yes yes - totally worked. Thought that even before I read your notes. Straight out of a movie - very good work. And - someone has to say it - you are incredibly hot. |

GOD - movie still is right. I immediately thought of it before reading your comments. Something out of a 50's movie. Some mystery. :~) |

Processing got the look you were after. Makes me wonder about the lighting setups for movie stills, like if this had been perfectly lit with no shadows it would have been all wrong for the period look. B&W grain helps set the mood, too, of course :-) |

i like the grainy texture and your b&w process .. your expression is 'interesting' .. non-committal, nearly stern .. enough about your expression .. the pecs look very buff .. !!..:)
did you give up male modeling when you became a brilliant photographer .. !!..:) |
