An unassuming farm in the Amercian heartland. Unknown to the sleeping family, a selective desaturation occurred while they slept, and they awakened to find themselves inside an online photo competition. They have now entered... The Twilight Zone.

I like the effect you have achieved here, almost looks like a photo negative. Very cool!!

Love the strange purple effect, makes the land look like its in a protective bubble, very twilight zone!

Gorgeous subdued color in the sky-the landscape color compliments IMHO !

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

LOL! This is the first thing that came to mind!

You most likely went too far with the radius/threshold controls.....try carefully backing them down and the haloing will diminish. You might als try to utilize your color balance tool as that can help as well as a correction for the effect.

My guess is that the foreground stuff was very dark to begin with compared to the sky, and the HDR was working hard to bring it out, resulting in some haloing, which for whatever reason came out purple. That said, it's a rather cool effect!

Colors in the sky are great and purple is the best color ever, so I have no problem with that ;-) The tilt is a little alarming, like the buildings are about to slide out of the frame!

This def different processing. I like all the results, but the tilt of the horizon doesnt do much for me

This is different, good different. It's sort of like a sunset and moonlight shot rolled into one image.
Check the WB in your camera? It may be set to tungsten. In any case, this is a very catchy looking scene. I think that you have posted a shot of this place a while back. Purply is a fitting word for the effect. LOL : )

The tilt adds to the strangeness. Like we are lying on the ground, unable to see it any other way. COOOOL.
