 Always thought that Predator was the only alien to have human characteristics and the fact that he has dreadlocks tell us how close to being human he is!

This was shot in a local forest on a night which had a great full-moon. My lighting consists of two flashes and a reflector, and we used a smoke machine with a generator for power to give the just landed alien feel. The predator costume we used was awesome and asides from taking an hour to setup and put on it was great fun for my brother and was worth the effort.

Process:

Converted from RAW, curve adjustment for contrast > Saturation adjustment > resize > sharpen > export as jpeg

I used gels on my flashes to add the desired alien smokey lighting. This allowed minimal editing and a more metallic feel to his armor.

this seems to have missed the challenge descption - this looks like a person in a costume rather than an inanimate object looking like a person - the lighting is pretty good - the smoke from behind is a good effect
