I am lucky to be approached by this wonderful sensitive friend of mine. She is a talented musician, guitarist and violinist.
We worked on a project that mixes the human emotion, sadness with music, in a way that we aim to reflect the human feelings, and the suffering we go through from time to time.
This is the first of the serious which will follow.

1 Alienbees AB800 camera right low set at 1/16.
1 Vivitar 285HV set at 1/16 camera left high.
1 gold reflector under camera to fill in details.

All triggered by Cybercync.

Post Processing,
Crop, Level, Contrast, dodge and burn, Ambient filter applied to the entire image using Virtual Photographer software, finally save for web.

Greetings from the Critique Club...

I was not able to vote on this challenge, but if I had, I probably would have given you a 6.

This is the type of image I like, one that makes you think. I wonder about the story behind the girl, and why she is holding stars. I can't put my finger on it, but I feel like there is something holding this back from being an amazing photograph. Perhaps having more shadows on the subjects outfit would make give this image more depth. Perhaps having some variation in light in the background would bring this to life. The more I look at it, I think the bow in her right hand is a little distracting as it overlaps the stars and takes our attention away from them. If you cropped tighter to frame just the woman holding the stars, you might have a stronger image. Great shot. Keep up the good work.

If you need any clarification on any of my comments, please feel free to pm me. It might take some time for me to get back to you.

i like the bow, the woman in the white, but the stars seem a bit less than ideal for the image - but the image does make me keep looking so you get a 7

If I'm honest I'm not really keen on this image - I like the concept but there looks to be a number of ways you could have shot this subject. for me, it doesn't look as if this image makes the most of the potential there is in this scene.

I think that possibly you could have made more use of the invisibility of the black threads against the black background with a change in hand position.
