I expect this to bomb. It's one of those shots that I think will befuddle a lot of people and force them to vote 1,2 or 3. But hey, I am pretty cynical.

The word was printed out and stuck to the wall and then i overexposed the shot by 2 stops and then boosted the exposure again in LR and increased brightness/contrast. You can still make out the shadows from the paper on the wall if you look closely enough.

So, all i did in PS was put some cyan in the shadows to make the colours a bit more natural looking.

so there is bokeh there and I got terribly bored of flowers, leaves, leading lines and all that shit that's been done to death.

I dont really care how this does because I'm at least trying something different, but like I said, i predict a bomb.

Very clever. Looks like some kind of statement piece. I have a new monitor now that is brighter so I can see the paper on the wall. Doesn't matter tho - I love the creativity.

Under basic editing, this may get DQ'd, but I like the shot.. gave it a 7

Don't know how you did it! But this is great! Bokeh could be just a little bit better maybe! But this is a great photo!

Very cool shot to have the person blurred. The word throws me off as I'm not used to seeing those on DPC. It looks like it was added in post processing which I believe will get you disqualified. I'll rate it as though it's within the rules... nicely done... one of my favorites... 8.

I really like this - hope it does not get a DQ because of the text...

Sorry, I've re-read my comment and realise it looks like a criticism. I meant to say it's a really bold and original idea and that I like it as it is, but also that it would work well as a library notice if the background were a little more in focus.

Can't quite make out what the blurry bits are ... guessing maybe someone kissing a pregnant belly? Processing seems harsh for such a subject so I could be wrong.

I really don't know how to vote this. You captured great the words in focus with the person being out of focus and adding to the photo. Not sure if you added the word in post processing which is illegal in basic...but if you didn't..great photo.

Bit of a shock! I look forward to reading the details. I must admit, I don't like the text, takes away from the abstract feel of the image.
