When I looked at this, my first reaction was, "ouch!" :) I think that your composition here would have been greatly improved by moving the camera up just a bit to only capture the tips of the spikes in front and leaving the plant in back to fully take up the rest of the frame. As it is now, I have a hard time finding your control of the situation. It seems to be everywhere at once. Your focus on the plant in front is good though. Sometimes, less is more. Good luck! :) |

Well, the spikes seems to be out of focus and there is a distracting light at the bottom. The bokeh is almost well, but the spikes without focus are really distracting me. |

For me the background challenges a lot for the attention of the viewer. I think it's the combination of horizontal and vertical lines. It's a bit busy. |
