The back lighting makes the fuzzy details in the fly's construction show up in this shot. That's good light control to get the nice deep green BG to help with that effect.

Great detail here; I don't think I've seen one of these up close before.

lookin good .... brilliant macro and even tho he looked a bit ugly in real life you've succeeded in making him look quite attractive .. lol .. amazing the diversity in just robberflies .. i think i've seen about 10 different versions from really big ones to very very small like the dangerous world one .. and then all the other insects .. i will be bereft when summer is over and most of the insects go away .. :) |
