This is a really nice, pensive portrait. I like the 'in your face' perspective. I wish I could see more of the girl's face in the background but that is really just a nit.

thanks! the background blowout is due to the fact that there is a lamp just above the back girl's head. the foreground lighting was provided through a window. no flash.

see.. this is what i call a great portrait.. i always tell people to use high contrast.. but that is just how i like it and ultimately it is a personal preference.. this is really good stuff.. i like the expression and the angle of the view and the composition... some areas are a little overexposed but nothing that disturbs the image i think...
