This whole picture was a disaster - what I shot didn't work out, the ornament is crooked (no room to rotate and crop), CS3 was being a royal pain, and even the vignette was added to cover up something strange that's going on. For some reason I'm getting a very light line lately on the edges and I have no idea where it's coming from. OK, I'll stop whining now.

For something that was a disaster, it's quite pretty. Perhaps you should have more disasters...

One of the best use of fractalius I've seen lately. Adds a sparkly/cheery feel to what you feel is an ordinary shot. If you did not say anything, nobody would've known... The artist is always its worst critic.

that is just fabulous. I love what the filter did to the ornament and the trees. I must go try that. :~)

I think this is a cool shot too.. It caught my eye right off the bat and its one of the best ornaments i've seen yet.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!!

The branches look like fingers holding the ornament. Can't decide if they're being supportive or possessive ;-)

Well the end result is wonderful. I love the effect on those needles and the border is great.

Well, despite your perceived disaster, this is a pretty cool shot. Great detail and contrast, and I love the effect you got with the filter.

I wouldn't call this a throw away Ken....Think the processing turned out OK.

Well, whine away but I LOVE this! When you say CS3 is a pain, is it only with Redfield filters? Mine (perfectum, sketch master and fractalius) take FOREVER to complete, especially fractalius. Is that normal?
