 I know this won't do well with the masses, no wow. This was a learning shoot for me on how to use natural light to get shadows. Setup was table by window and the light coming in from outside. Then the basics of crop, adjustment and resize save for web. If I know the site like I think I do this might be another brown for me.

This one has some really deep shadows that lends itself well to the detail on the branches.

No brown, but cheer up. The joy is in taking the picture and experiencing life. Cheers. Have a wonderful New Years.

I do think this should have scored higher and I think it's a very good exercise in shadows with natural light. Keep working with that light - it's the best there is!

Lovely shadows. May get dinged for overprocessing.

Nice colours and subject, but it feels a little over sharpened. Also, the top half of the image feels a little crowded, not sure what in particular is causing this, perhaps the harsh highlights against the shadows, again, this could be a result of over sharpening, or too high contrast.
