The composition in this shot is so pleasing!
I like the entry that you put in 2-3rds very much!
Many congrats on the First Place; this is the kind of composition you cherish -simple, and elegant.

| WTG Mark! I gotta love this one for perfectly personal reasons: back in the day, one of my best-selling images was a shot of the Chevron Tank Farms that was very similar to this. Unfortunately, I have no copies to scan as everything was lost in the basement flood. |

| I think I would've tried framing this one a bit differently. Maybe a portrait crop with the bottom of the handrail in the corner of the shot. Great idea, There is a ton of potential with this subject. 7 |

| This is fabulous, I love it. The shapes of the walls, that wonderful curving staircase and it's shadows are great. So too are the textures and details of the dirty wals and the birds. It's all good. |

| Heck, I don't know if I'm the Deb this is ode'd to, but damn it's sweet! I LOVE that the shadows are so light and delicate, then fade into gray on the curve. And birds! There are birds! And it's monochromatic. Perfect. Now I'm probably going to have to vote this challenge. |

| A spectacular execution of a favorite subject. This is front page material. Wouldn't be surprised if it medalled. The balance, the tone, the geometry, the delicacy of the steps and shadows, the solidity of the massive tank and all. The delicate touch of the two pigeons. Perfect. The sepia is the perfect final touch. |
