HDR from three, exposure-bracketed, RAW captures, handheld.

The three RAW exposures were split into different JPG exposures:

-2 RAW: JPGs @ -6, -5, -4, -3, -2
0 RAW: JPGs @ -1, 0, +1
+2 RAW: JPGs @ +2, +3, +4, +5

Above JPGs combined into HDR and tonemapped in Photomatix.

In Photoshop, converted to B&W. Levels=27,1.31,255. Curves. Some dodging & burning.

My gosh, this is just amazing!! It's tack sharp and I just love the black and white conversion. Not usually a HDR kinda gal, but this is top notch! Gotta fave this one!

Lots of GREAT shots in this FS, so hard to predict a ribbon winner, but this has got to be up there. All around great shot/editing. Just for grins I'm going to guess that this is slippy/ strikeslip... am I right? I'll find out tomorrow!

this is an amazing photograph with the snow and icicles on the ropes .. it looks incredibly cold .. the sky, drama plus .. excellent perspective and a fantastic process to b&w .. WOW .. :)

This location is always cool and has created some great photos. Your processing here may be a bit extensive and the photo itself lacks a focal point so it is almost difficult to look at with all the details in the sky against the contrast in the ice. It may look better bigger.
