I think I'm risking over exposure of my model. This was taken for the Portrait of the Elderly challenge. However, I wanted to do some advanced editing on it -- dodging the hair and beard slightly and toning down a distraction in the background.

Ah what the heck, overuse your model. He's a darn good looking model with a very expressive face - can't go wrong there!

He's got history written in every line of his face. Great capture and presentation.

Nice job Julianne. The detail is fantastic. I would love to see this zoomed in even closer. Hi Larry.7

Love this shot!

Doesn't appear to be from a long lens as I see more perspective in shapes, which makes wonderful for me. The DOF is just appropriate. (I am curious to know how and with what it was shot).

I would have liked to have seen this in black and white!

The lighting here makes it impossible to see the man's eyes, which actually has caused me to look at the photo longer. Whatever he is expressing here is less obvious. The textures in his skin are very nice. My only nitpick is that the shiny gold necklace is a bit too bright in the spot where its a bit blown out and catches the eye and pulls it away from the face
