 My fiance phase3. He was a trucker for over 28 years and been almost everywhere. I asked him approximately how many miles he's driven in his rig. He replied "2 Million"! He may look tough, but he is also very kind. I hope it shows through. We were out taking photos like we do quite often on the weekends and he just turned towards me. I like the photo, but DPC may think otherwise. I am sure I'll learn something in either case!

I am not accustomed to taking photos of people and I never know how to process them. In this case I followed Scott Kelby's "7 Point System" and used the lesson where he edited a rugged cowboy. Great book!

I like this portrait because it doesn't look contrived. It looks natural. The way he is looking back suggest any number of thoughts from the subject, "Are you kidding me?", "If only you knew." I like his expression. Nice portrait.

Quite like this. I think it is engaging because of the eyes - well, of course, but at the same time one of them is in focus, the other beyond the DOF, because the in focus eye tells us just enough, and that is just what this is, a splendid at home glance, and that is what artistry is.

Riviting portrait. The dark of the garment in the lower left and the shadow in the upper left does wonderful things directing your eye around the photo.

I keep coming back to this picture, so I am going to give it a 10. It definitely engages. So much so that I want to go sit down with this person and ask him where he has been and where he is going.
