Some of the vignetting is due to extreme tilt closing off corners; the rest is added to balance it out. I left an "opening" in the vignette lower right because that seemed to work better. |

I love the polaroid effect, it really enhances this image. |

Well I'm a Southwest guy born and bred, so I guess that makes sense :-) I'm a San Diego native and have spent a LOT of time in the deserts and the canyon country over the years. |

The wind is blowing so hard into my face, that I can only bear the dimmest view of the scene before me, all squint and eyelash. |

Very effective use of the all-over blur here. Sometimes a sweet spot just has no place. |

Yes, what I love most about this..there is no sharp focus allowing for complete immersion and mood appreciation. Excellent stuff Bear. |

I know it's not, but I see New Mexico in the 50's and there's talk of aliens. Or perhaps I just had too much chocolate today. But seriously, this is really a nice use of the toy! |

What a wonderful (well, considering the title and subject) old time feel to this photograph Robert! The "frame" reminds me of a Polaroid shot (intentional - yes?).
Not having anything really on the mark, focus-wise, makes me wander around the photo without being able to settle in anywhere in particular. Normally, this would be annoying, but somehow it works with this presentation/comp. A very moody photo.
Very interesting piece of work! |

Yes it is very good, Bear. I linked to Igor Posner for someone else here recently (actually it was Germaine, I think). Now I must do the same for you. This has that Posner mood, like a slightly sullen hangover. |
