Wow, what an improvement, the newly processed image is wonderful! You did a great job of getting rid of the pink, this looks perfectly toned to me :-) |

The edited photo looks great. The other seems pinkish to me. I like the crop better too. |

Those eyes really capture your attention, then does that hat. I am loving this edit better than the challenge entry. I do not have a greenish tinge on my monitor (calibrated). Excellent control of the DOF on this shot. He is such a cutie! |

I don't see any green cast on my monitor. This is so much better than your entry was! He was positively pink in that edit, LOL! His eyes are gorgeous! |

Hey Michelle, love this second process...No green tinge on my new, recently calibrated monitor. The skin tones however do seem a little pale. This might be corrected by adjusting the white balance to a slightly warmer setting. I don't think it needs much. I think also what you might be seeing, especially around the chin area is a reflection of colour from your boy's jumper. |

What a great shot... his eyes are intense. I agree about the green cast... the original photo seemed to have a red cast (though... my monitor is far from being calibrated itself). One way to overcome any of that without calibrating your monitor would be to convert this to black and white. |

Lovely edit!! And no no greenish cast here on either monitor. Your challenge entry had a decided pink tone, but this one looks very natural to me - perhaps just a bit pale if anything on my brighter monitor. Nice natural balance to this composition as well. |

Maybe a touch of a greenish cast in the skin tones, but the skin tone does not seem totally natural in either image. Both edits seem to me to need a little more of a pinkish tone in the skin. I can see definite improvement in the edit. The original had the eyes oversharpened, and the comp in the new edit is pleasing. I like the tones of the red hat in the edit as well. It's amazing how much difference some subtle changes can make. Well done. |
