 This is the first photo I've entered in a contest, so I'm pretty excited! I had fun trying to think of somethhing that fit the challenge. I'm still not very familiar with my camera, so this is the best of the fire and ice shots I took.

Well done - except for the glare cast by the flame (right side). Fire and ice are true opposites.

Beautiful !!!
The lone blue color is very effective...it keeps drawing my eye to different areas of the picture.. Compelling photo, technically well done, and seems a perfect fit to the theme. Best of the fire/ice motif, imho.

Personally I think Fire and Ice is hard to pull off. Lots of people tried in this contest, and most fell short. Your "fire" is overblown, and your "ice" is rather oddly shaped, in terms of composition. Plus, you have blue artifacts on the right hand side of the shot.

The wick in the flame is very distracting and the ice isn't lit enough to really fufill its role as a subject.

Would have cropped more on the right a tad. Flame appears to be overexposed.

lovely color - I like the off-center composition, but I might like to see less on the bottom and more on the top.
