Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I'm not sure myself of the markings even after some research. I never noticed until some of you commented that it wasn't based on 12 marks but 10. I assumed this was for flood measurement but not sure about what the standard of measurement is. Don't think its metric. |

Nice simple subject. I like the DOF, the sharpness and all the details in the wood. The blue tint works here well. |

Excellent DOF and the blue cast fits well with the time it was taken. Now I'm curious about what it measures also. |

Very good use of DOF and tones in this. What does this measure? At first I thought a flood gauge, but it's not in inches and feet. |

This is really nice. The blue tones add to the feel of dusk on the river. |

The bluish tone suggests to me that it is cold out right now. Brrr. |

I like the cold blue feel. The big negative space adds emphasis to the suggestion of depth. I like it! |

I like the DOF and the colors. Is it too obvious to suggest trying this in portait r/t landscape? |

Hey neighbor. I like your photo, it is well executed. The very shallow dof that you achieved by using the wide-open f1.8 kept the 9 in focus well enough to emphasize it.
