Nice photo jounalistic shot....nice exposure down from the building, the sky is blown out. You might have turned the camera down a bit to avoid the expanse of lifeless sky and gotten more of the crown though I do appreicate the use of the thirds horizantially as well as vertically in this. |

cutting the head off of the person front and center hurts this shot quite a bit, it is almost as if you have chosen to silence him. I don't know why the hotel in the backround took precidence over the crowd. |

Shows some of the difficultire of photo-journalism - too many peculiarities in these people (looking at camera, weird cropping, weird expressions). Positioning of the statue is weird. Prominence of the Hotel name almost makes the shot about that, rather than whatever the subject of the demonstration is. Almost weird enough to be about that weirdness itself - but your title, and the concentration of the image suggests otherwise. |

This image would have been much stronger, I think, if the bottom half of the young man in the bottom centre of the frame's face hadn't been cut off. |

OK I admit it, I had to chuckle when I saw 'Hotel Borg' - it's the nerd in me. The grayscale could prolly do with a little more contrast, especially on the background. I'm not sure I particularly like the cropped head at the front either, looks a little odd to me. Stepping back some and getting a little more of the crowd may have helped. I'm not sure what the signs say, but it's an interesting photojournalistic shot. |

I really like the way you captured the front protester's eyes. It adds depth to the image that would not be there otherwise. |

Great use of photojournalism...even though I cannot read the signs, the message is still brought through the image. |

Interesting composition. I like the way the young man in the center looks as though he is peeking over into the frame. |

I like this shot, especially because a number of the people here are smiling, like they're really enjoying this demonstration. Good use of B/W. The washed out background kinda works here. |

This got a 7 from me because I'm a big fan of street photography and photojournalism and this really works. It might have gotten higher but I'm not sure I like that the foremost picketer has his face cut off. If it was your intention to include the hotel sign at the top of the frame, I can see why you would choose this odd point of view. Otherwise, I wonder why you didn't aim just a bit lower? |
