This works very well in b&w, but I really liked the colors in the lobby, so you're getting it in color. The sign above the Pepsi can really does say popcorn. I used the Orton effect to bring out the colors and also to disguise my rather heavy-handed patching out of a sign that said "Use Other Entrance" -- great big, nasty white thing on the door. 8(

This is one of the entrances to the Arlington Theatre. When you get inside, the seats are surrounded by a faux Mexican village complete with balconies, window grilles, shutters, and flickering street lamps. The sky is painted dark blue with lights go on an off to emulate stars. When I was a child, it wasn't until I went to a matinee that I figured out the sky wasn't real! So much for my intellect.

That blip of color at the top is a hanging lamp.

I can't picture how this would look in b&w...but I really like the layering of colors and the depth created. Very nice!

You go out in the daytime too? I was beginning to suspect ... well, let's just say I was laying in a supply of garlic & crucifixes.

"Use Other Entrance" is one of my favourite signs, as long as there's one on every entrance. It's like a sign that says, "The City Regrets the Inconvenience Caused by This Sign."

Sounds like a real cool theater. Not like the Cinemark around here. Nice shot.

Yes, this must stay in colour, I'm sure the B&W works well but you'd lose the vibrance of this shot imho, lovely shot

This is really nice. I can't imagine the b/w version being superior, the colors make this shot. Want to refresh people on how the "Orton Effect" is done?

The blip of color up at the top inside the arch is fascinating! A lamp, I see. Is it reflected light?
