Not my usual backyard bird as I was on holiday in South Bend, IN. Not my usual lens that I use for birds, either, but I like how this turned out anyway.

WOW, great bird photo. The bird is looking right into the camera. Nice capture. I like the PP too.

You were in South Bend and didn't honk as you drove by? This is a wonderful shot, the B&W works and I like how you captured the bird midflight.

The lighting here is just perfect! Thoughtful and moody.

Great job with the use of the white space in the image. The background really helps pull the eye towards the main subject. Black and white fits perfect with this image too.
cheers,

Ohmy! I would say SO! Who wouldn't like how this turned out. This is fabulous. I love LOVE those grayscale tones and the slightly grainy background. So masterfully artful!

I like how it turned out as well - has a sort of in-your-face with the bird staring right at you, and I like the misty graininess of the background.

This works well. The bird's position and the lighting on it's face are what make the shot.

Amazing capture - I have such trouble capturing birds in flight.

I like the processing. Its weird but the background reminds me of a the old pictures from the 40's of nuclear bomb testing.

Beautiful. I like the grainy "feel" of this. More than just another bird shot.

Ooh I like it, the graininess really adds a lot as well as the dark corners. Beautiful capture.

I love it you make eye contact with the bird first thing when you look at the photo

Bird portrait - not much of a catalogue shot for the encyclopedia of seagulls, but a great bit of gymnastic anthropomorphics.

You're off to a - erm - flying start?
