So Hitchcockian. I may have nightmares, but I like it :-) |

This has me thinking about that movie "the Birds." The birds on the outer edge give an eerie feeling. |

What I really like about this is how the sweep and arc of the street light echoes the gist of a bird in flight. |

lol Deb, shove a pigeon in a shot and you go weak at the knees.
Seriously though, Mr R, this is a seriously good find, the sky really sets this whole image off for me and yes, its like a modern day Hitchcock scene (still not sure about the border though appreciate why it was done). |

Another really nice birdie shot. I'm thinking that it might be pretty cool to devote an entire photo outing to birds, especially in relation to their landing spots. I always seem to spot the best shots when I'm without my camera, too. |

Wow, this shot is awesome. Both the setup with the lensbaby and the processing of it. Nice work. |

This is great. I am going to become an Ayesha follower. |

I saw the spine of a large animal on top of the post.

BTW, the reason they are fighting to be on the same light standard is a warmth issue; flocking when roosting is cold-weather behavior for the most part. |

This one is excellent as well. The edge treatment here is effective, unlike that of the broader image I just commented on. |

I'm always so glad others seem to have their camera at hand when this happens...I never do...there is something so strange about the way birds line up on things, I always wonder what they're communicating about..I know...I'm weird. |

The streetlight structure itself looks like a giant bird. And these pigeons know it, too. They call it Ayesha; She Who Must be Obeyed.
I rather like this shot. It works. I'd say it flies, if I didn't think you'd groan. |

That is fabulous. Harkens me back to The Birds - the classic Hitchcock movie. |
