 Just some apples staring at some dried out apple slices. And yeah, I realize they look kinda like potato chips in this picture, but I was hoping people could understand it. I don't expect it to score very high, but thought I'd submit to the challenge anyway...

Thank you for your comments. The focus is actually on the apple slices in the back, I was having trouble deciding on whether or not to open up the aperture more to really blur out the apples or make them sharper... I guess I unwisely stayed in the middle.

NOTE: Apples ARE still alive even when they are picked from the tree. Under the right conditions, single cells from picked fruit can be cultured to grow. Plus, they hold seeds which can produce life.

Somehow seems to be not quite in focus: perhaps just lacking a degree of sharpness. I quite like the amount of negative space, and the refusal to include all the apples in frame; down-side is the slightly blue tinge to the background, which feels a little sickly to my eye.

appears soft and yellowish. it's not very clear what you were focusing on - the apples or the slices, as both is not real sharp. As of the yellowish tone - WB? can easily be corrected in PP. composition is good.

It's a good effort, crisp and clear, but compositionally it doesn't work for me. I like the clearness of the white.
