This is Rex, and he truly is my wife's best friend. (Well, perhaps after me...) When my wife became sick, was unable to work, and was being passed from Doctor to Doctor, it was Rex that stayed at her side night and day. He was protective, loving, and encouraging (in his own doggy way) 24/7 and has undoubtedly helped in her being much healthier today.

Very nice dog but the wooden fence as a background does not help the picture.

The focus is very, very good. The downfall is that I'm getting a lot of unnatural blue color in the nose and around the eyes.

Very handsome (or beautiful, as appropriate). I'd move the dog a few feet more in front of the fence so the background blurred more. With a biggish dog like this you need a fair amount of DOF to get the whole head in focus, and the fence color isn't enough of a contrast to enhance the dog so I'd want to minimize the detail in this background.

SWEEEEET. Wish we could see more of the other eye, but if he's like one of my doggies, he doesn't like the camera. :~)
