The composition in this image is lacking and I don't care for the heaviness of the hues and contrast. However, the message is a strong one that works. |

A very important photograph, it's an interesting moment in time captured well. Technically it is not the best photo in this challenge because of the harsh light, etc. that comes with taking candids. Apart from that though, I give you extra points for posting this. I was considering these for my entry but another one won out.
Good luck! |

Too contrasty for my taste...You've lost some detail (like in the back pack) that should be there, I fear. And I would have liked to have seen their feet or less of their legs.. cropped at the ankles (or any joint) is a no-no, I think. |

John the rabid conservative gives you kudos for such a great shot, this belongs on a poster. |

Processing seems a bit harsh -- or maybe it's the lighting. But good photojournalism. I like the irnoy. |

I'm not quite sure what the statement is here. Perhaps just illustrating the opposition to convention? |

Excellent use of paradox! Lighting could have been better, but, sometimes you have to take what you got to get a shot like this. Scoring high for the photojournalistic quality. |

great candid shot, love the vibrancy of the red, the signs in black and white where a good choice. |

the crop is all wrong and the image is too contrasty |

WOW!! OMG!! I've been looking at this for a couple of minutes studying the scene, enjoying the powerful juxtaposition, and then (being a little slow I know) it just hit me like ton of bricks that you desaturated everythingn but the gay couple, illustrating how black & white the anti-gay marriage viewpoint is. There may be some technical imperfections to nitpick, but nothing that takes away from the powerful impact of how you composed and processed this. I can't wait to share your shot with my family/friends when the voting is over. |

Great image with a solid message. Not sure about the selective desat but I don't think it hurts either. |
