This is the little bridge in my park. I shot this a couple times and I just don't seem to get it right. I wish I stepped a little to the right to avoid that verticle strip on the inside - it's the opening on the other side.

Looks like a great place to walk and interesting subject. B&W works well.

Not many of those covered bridges around anymore. Enjoy having one so close.

Inside of the bridge is a little dark.

That strip looks perfectly natural to me - one expects there to be an "other side". :-) There's still detail in the structure itself you can bring out - use whatever it is you have that does "shadows" or brings them out. You can raise the levels of the midtones a bit, or tweak the midrange of a curve, too. I think it's well composed.

I didn't even notice the strip. Looks like a neat park to explore.

Nice bridge building. I like the contrasts. Not sure if you would get the depth in the building without the white stripe. (Btw. I don't want snow)

Still a good shot, and it's effective in black and white.

Nice shot. While the vertical strip does not bother me, I can see where once you got home you would wish you had done something a bit different as there is so many angles you could shoot this from.

I would never have noticed the strip if you hadn't mentioned it. I like the shot. You've got great detail, and a nice separation between the dark bridge and the less dark trees.

Well I see what you mean too, but I wouldn't have ever noticed it unless you had mentioned it. What a wonderful little covered bridge.

I like it, Deb! Just exactly like it is. It's funny how we get so picky about our own work. I never would have even noticed the little strip. All I noticed was a great snow scene showing beautiful character of an old bridge -- with a very nice black and white conversion.
