Very moody dramatic shot. The rosj in the foreground almost looks like a person lying down wit thier belly button exposed to the world :) |

This is great, I love the combination of the deep shadows and the bright light from the sky. |

Nice dynamic cloud effect in this capture. The horizon appears to have lost all DOF giving it an almost surreal look. The contrasting textures in the clouds and terrain add to that effect and the B/W works very well. |

Gorgeous! Fantastic tonal range from the deep shadows, the dramatic sky, to the sparkles on the water. Very nice shot. |

This is a wonderful image, I just love the clouds. The processing is perfect for the sky, but I do feel that there is too much contrast in the foreground, with detail lost in the shadows. Minor nitpick, I really love this shot. |

the intensity of the sweeping land before the water is really good
i like how the clouds almost seem otherworldly here |

I like how the light plays off the top of the dune and the light coming down from the clouds. For me the image as a whole is a little dark. That is a personal sense and don't necessarily mean I am right. |

Would really be interested in your PP notes, love the shot...it really does draw you in, I have been trying to figure out how to get those light and dark shadows...is that dodge and burn? Wonderful job...great location. Would really like to know what you did in the PP |

Wow! Great pic. Love the foreground, also makes me think of a womans body. Wish i could get those smooth blacks and whites. I'm struggling with the Ansel Adams challenge at the moment. Cant seem to seem to stop getting shadow noise for some reason. :( |

Lovely drama and contrast. I like the hint of a seabird along the beach. |

What a great sky! I can just feel the mood created by this photo. Beautiful, smooth black and white tones. |

Beautiful, it sure made me think twice about entering my lowly landscape. Beautiful, powerful and compelling.
edited for sloppy finger work in the typing department.

A really interesting landscape - one that draws you in. The foreground somehow reminds me of an abstract of a naked woman, navel and legs! the clouds are rendered beautifully, and I love the way you have captured the light glimmering on the water. This photo challenges my perceptions, and that is good. |

lovely shot Susan.
the sky is fantastic, with just enough detail in the foreground to anchor the shot.
i love all the shots in this Lake collection as well. |
