Way to go with the 4.8 Karen and guess you knew this would be a shade/blur too far for the dpc masses (as you can see from the before and after comments). I'll leave the 'W' word out of my comment ;) |

What a great eye to see the 'heart' in this tree! Wonderful choice of tones to go with your theme, and having the sweet spot centered works perfectly. Of course underrated, but I just don't think the community at large is ready for the lensbaby :-) |

Arteries, heart-shaped, and a microscopic view of a blood cell, all wrapped into one. |

This definitely has a heart like feeling, as if I'm looking at a heart scan. Everything works well in this it was extremely underrated imo. I have the same feeling about trees, they are truly amazing organisms, the pulse of this planet. |

Oh yeah, I can see the artery thing going on here. I love the LB effect with trees. |

Those that scored this low must have been part of some sort of 'focus group'! The red and the title certainly enhance the feeling of a beating heart. |

Totally arterial, yup ma'am... My own entry in this challenge was a LB shot and it did even worse than yours. Although, to be fair, it OUGHT to have as it is sort of a disorganized mess (intentionally, but even so...) whereas yours has structure and density of meaning. I imagine the main reason you scored poorly is because the bare branches don't shout "LIFE" as much as they do "DEATH"; I haven't read the comments so I don't know.
Regardless, it's a torquing good shot! |

Ahhh lensbaby. You know, man, I didn't get it first time around and I got it this time without looking at your comments. Clever use of a red tone for this. I almost see a heartshape too. Very cool. |

I gave this an 8. I love the rhythm, and I like how the lensbaby extends the rhythm into an illusion of infinity. |

My heart skipped a beat for a second. It does kinda have a 'heart' shape to it. Nice focus and very different entry. |

I like the maroon colouring, but I feel the severe depth of field is too much. |

Nice LB(?) shot. Not sure on the tone, it has the feeling of despair to me & maybe a darker/cooler tone would be better. |

the perspective is cool and so is the outer edge blur. Great! |
