 This image was taken in June 2007. It is my daughter ( the red head LOL for those who know Joyah isn't it amazing how they grow up so fast! ) playing Netball. For those of you not in the southern hemisphere...netball is a little bit like basketball but no dribbling. It is mainly played by girls and it is played in winter outside in skirts and t-shirts!

I just mainly mucked about with levels, hue/sat and some luko sharpening

LOL i have no sense of order in the filing of my images so they are all over the place so I was just randomly wondering around looking for a half way decent image to work with!
Any comments and/or critique accepted gratefully :)

Good job capturing that moment and the intensity of the game. I agree with Melethia about the shoe on upper right and a slightly tighter crop.

The expressions you got here are excellent! My only suggest would be to partially crop/partially clone the player in the upper right. You still need to have a bit of room on that side, but that white shoe gets in the way of seeing the expressions.

Excellent minimal processing Charlie. You've really made the girls pop. I think also I'd crop out the goal keeper in the rear RH cnr. to give even more focus on your daughter and her opponent. Reason:- she is distracted by something and not watching the game. lol Hope she's not one of yours.

I like the photo, and the intensity in the athletes expression, but something in your description is very frustrating to me. You wrote "played in winter outside in skirts and t-shirts! ". Where I am right now (Canada), it is winter, and minus 15 Celcius, with about a foot of snow on the ground, and its going to snow most of the weekend and next week.

So... I am jealous :D
