 I was at a party at a friend's 23rd floor condo and looked down to see this guy night swimming in the condo's pool. I had just enough time to snap 3 shots before he got out and this one came out the best.

I can understand the low scores, because people don't always want to look for the story in a photo. And they (the masses) certainly want stark reality, not Monet.

In this, I see someone leaping into life. At first it seemed to be someone leaping into the afterlife, but the more I look, the more it seems he's coming toward the viewer, with that divine light bolstering and lighting the way ahead.

At the end of the world, at the end of time, one man was destined to try and save humanity. Using a new technology that had never been tested, he was to return to the past and try to find a way to stave off the inevitable. To somehow find a way to cheat fate and continue the human race past their slotted time in the universe.

Now came the moment. Now came his chance to fulfill that destiny. With a final cry of determination, he ran towards the shimmering wall that divided the now with the then, and leapt into his past, and his future.

Very cool abstarct, The crop is my only dislike and feel like the centered composition does not help the look. To me I would like to see the lower portion cut off just above the line in the fore ground. The colors and lighting are really nice and the blur effect is just right. Good luck in the challenge.
