 This is Charlie. He loved his stick and would not part with it. This stick went to bed with him. Along with his firetruck, 2 police cars, 1 dump truck a bag of sand and 7 rocks.

It's a little dark but good job with a backlit subject. The tree he planted is kinda in the way: to me.

Strong tones. Interesting that you chose to frame the subject within the confines of that stick. It sort of cuts the subject out of the rest of the image. Not sure how I feel about that... but it seems to really empty out the space on the other side of the vertical lines and disrupt the flow of the image.

I like the color scheme here, I also like the set up. I don't really like the stick blocking off part of his body, but it does lead you directly to his face. The fit digging into the sand is a good (and probably unnoticeable) addtion to the photo.

He looks like he has mischief in his eyes! :) Love the dark and light. Seems that it might be a bit dark. Might have been more impactful had the brightness been upped and the contrast adjusted just a tad. But I really like this shot because it's showing his personality!
