Splendid shot but too much darkness on top and bottom. I'd crop the bottom. This is one of those pictures that when taken is thought to look breath taking (which I'm certain it was) but lacks the capture on film. still deservedly a good picture. did you use a light meter? |

Capturing this type of image is not always easy. What you see with your eye is not necessarily what the camera sees. You've done a good job of getting the contrast just right to bring out the light rays, however the brightest area still seems blown out.
The dark clouds add interest, however the silhouetted bushes at the bottom don't seem to add much. Cropping out most of it, just above the power lines, would probably work and still keep the image balanced.
Keep shooting.

I got some of these today....I shot BW only and I'm thinking, after seeing this, that color might have been better....rats! Quite nice. A litte blown out in the right center but the rays are very well done. |

I love sun rays, and you've captured them well here. |

Seems to lack a subject. Intense sky but it needs something to grab you as well. |

I like the effect where the clouds almost create a mirror image of the trees. Looks nice. |

The trees are very distracting and change my point of focus on this photo towards the bottom. If they were completely cropped out I would enjoy this shot a lot more. And maybe even a smidge off the top, as well. |

A tighter vertical crop from the bottom would have been more effective |
