The city paid to build this wooden bridge about 30ft long over a swamp in a local park. Walking the 150ft or so around the swamp is too much for residents to bear.

Really in all fairness, I have no idea why this was built or who paid for it, but this will be my springboard platform from which I will launch my campaign to become the next ruler of Russia.

this is our bridge to nowhere. It is an attraction but other than that really serves no purpose

Health and safety should close that bridge, what with a gaitors and no hand rail is a foto opportunity not to be missed! not wanting to lose the entire LB effect here I do think a square crop from the left improves this shot a little?

Looks like a swamp alright, you have any gators in there? You got to love useless government spending, cool bridge though.

Next Ruler of Russia? "The House of Artanoff". Da, sounds fair enough.

Kind of like that controversial bridge to nowhere in Alaska. LOL (oops, I got political) :~P

Perhaps in the wettest season the perimeter of the swamp becomes too soggy for easy trudging?

Whatever... Good luck with your campaign to be Woodie of all the Russias. Cool shot, too.
