 It was hard for me to decide what I wanted to enter for the best of challenge. Portrait photography is new for me this year so I decided to enter something along those lines. A friend of mine asked me to take some photo's of her newborn for her. This is one from that shoot that she just loved, so I decided to enter it in the challenge. I've no idea what to expect score wise, I'm hoping mid to upper 5's, but I know there will be some spectacular shots in this challenge.

Too bad this did not finish higher. It's so good! I love those little feet. The hands really put the size into perspective. A wonderfully artsy photo.

Thank you Lydia! I only wish I had cloned or dodged the hot spot on the ring. I totally didn't notice it until voting started and people started mentioning it.

Isn't it amazing how much a baby's toes look like fingers? I like how the hands look like a heart.

it is amazing how small babies feet are...the composition really emphasizes the gentle touch of a parent (i would have cloned out the reflection from the ring here..)

an excellent shot, love the black adn white you have here, crisp clean feel, I would do something about the ring though, it does make a hot spot. The implied heart of the hands whether intentional or not makes it shot speak volumes.
