A day at the Seattle Tattoo Expo this Summer. SOme fantastic characters from all walks of life and some of the best shots I took all year. This gentleman wasn't half as frightening as he looked and was actually very gracious in posing when I asked him whether I could take his picture.

I'm sure there's a message of some kind in this!

I had to Google this guy and find out if these were real tattoos. Wow, they are! Sam Bloomfield really loves America! :)
What a great quirky and original portrait! It grabs your attention immediately and causes you to call someone over to your computer. "You gotta see this!" The crazy expression adds even more wow to this shot and whatever processing you've done works very well IMHO. 10

I think she ate too many tiny squares of blotter paper

I don't know too many people who would go this far! Very creative. I like it.

Sometimes....it's ALL about subject.
Wish for a little more out of the colors

"Well, we've got a few more people to see, but we'll let you know by the weekend if you get the job"

What a colourful and individual character :-)

He might be American, but I assume the person taking this shot isn't. The title seems like an intended mockery of a nation by using the model to give it a bad image.

Oh... my.... gosh! This is funny and interesting. I bet he's got stories to tell!

It was a fierce loyalty. For years he had served his country against an evil that threatened them and their way of life. For years he had fought with his country against a people that hated his country's policies, and freedoms, and way of life. For years he had served his country for everything his country stood for.

So it was one morning, when he awoke, and looked in the mirror, and saw the very symbols of that evil country forever etched upon his very face, that he began to scream.

It was a horror from which he never recovered.

The 69 on his tongue is cracking me up. What a wild and strange character. It seems slightly over exposed, but I can still see this on the cover of a news magazine "the ever changing faces of America." 7

that is very in your face - actually...it is more 'on his face' - i like the intensity of focus, the pose, and the choice of processing to give it an extra bit of edge
